Where we started
Periwinkle shells was founded in 2021 in the coastal town of Hastings. What began as a desire to reduce waste soon became a passion for transforming oyster and scallop shells into refined decorative pieces. Each shell is carefully handcrafted using delicate decoupage techniques, resulting in elegant trinket dishes designed to hold jewellery, candles, or to stand alone as sculptural pieces.
Inspired by Hastings rugged coastline and vibrant artistic spirit, our work reflects the beauty of the sea and the character of the town we call home. Every shell is unique, shaped by the ocean and finished by hand.
